Anna Maria Chlumsky (born December 3 in 1980) is an American actress. Her professional career started as an infant performer. Her most famous work is for her role as Vada Sultenfusss in My Girl (1991), and its sequel, 1994. Between 1999 and 2005, her acting career took a break while she attended college. She was in a variety of independent films, including Blood Car (2007), and In the Loop (2008), she returned to acting. From 2012 until 2019, Chlumsky portrayed Amy Brookheimer in the HBO television series Veep, for which she was nominated six times for the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in the category of Comedy Series. Chlumsky was born in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of Nancy (nee Zuncic), a singer, actress, and former flight attendant as well as Frank Chlumsky Jr., an saxophone and chef. Her family was an orthodox Catholic family. Chlumsky is of Czech [6][7] as well as Croatian descent. In October 2007, Chlumsky announced her engagement to Army Reserve member Shaun So.
