Roselyn Sanchez Bio
2 April 1973, San Juan, Puerto Rico. Sanchez began dancing and playing the piano at a young age. Sanchez was the co-host of Que Vacilon (the top-rated TV show in Puerto Rico). She attended the University of Puerto Rico and studied marketing and business with the goal to take over her father's marketing business. She won several glamour contests while she was studying and she then moved to New York to continue her studies. In New York, she began to establish her name with her one-woman show Out Here On My Own. She managed to break into American television by landing the role (Pilar Domingo), in the 1996/7 season on the long-running soap As The World Turns. She also appeared in of shows like Fame L.A. (1997/8), Ryan Caulfield Year One (1999), Kojak (2006) as well as recurring roles in Without A Trace (2006) and Dragnet (2006). She also was in films like Held Up (1999), Rush Hour 2 (2001), Boat Trip (2002), Basic (2003) and Yellow (2006) in which she also served as a co-producer. Although much of Sanchez's energies are focused on her acting career, she also recorded a tasteful album of songs, released by BMGy Records in 2003. Sanchez has appeared in glamourous poses in magazines and attracted plenty of attention in addition to her acting.
