Samantha Ponder is a sports anchor who is a crucial journalist of the present and a woman with whom one should not cross paths. Ponder's invaluable contributions to the sports world have created waves in the industry. Since she is notable for covering NFL games, it was just right to get married to an NFL player, Christian Ponder. Samantha Ponder is an American sports journalist, most well-known as the host of the ESPN program Sunday NFL Countdown. Since her college days, she has been associated with the channel. Her career began at ESPN Zone as an intern before joining ABC-TV to become a researcher assistant. After she graduated from Liberty University, she was offered a job. She soon started reporting for the athletic team, Liberty Flames. Ponder also reported for Fox Sports Net and Fox College Sports. Then, she was a part of the ESPN Longhorn Network, where she served as a reporter on the sideline for the show Thursday Night College Football and a co-host of College Football GameDay. Ponder began hosting the show NFL Countdown in 2017, and in doing so, she became the third host to host the show over its 33-year history. Samantha Ponder has been hosting the show for the past 34 years. She was born in Phoenix, Arizona, on the 11th of December in 1985. Her birth name is Samantha Sainte Claire Steele. Ponder is the daughter of Cindi Steele and Jerry Steele. There is not much info about her family. She is an orthodox Christian. Her educational background is Central High School, Phoenix. Then she attended The King's College in New York City after high school.
