Kari Matchett Biography

Kari Matchett is an actor from Canada. She is well-known for her roles as Kari in films like "Apartment Hunting", "Men with Brooms", and "The Tree of Life." Born and raised in Spalding, Saskatchewan, she later moved to Alberta, Canada, from where she attended high school. In her teens, she developed an interest in acting. She attended Montreal's National Theatre School to continue her training in acting. In Moscow, she was also enrolled in the Moscow Theatre School. In 1996, she appeared in a supporting role on the Canadian series 'The Rez. In the year 1996, she was an actor in the Canadian series called "The Rez.' In the late 1990s, she made her film debut in the form of the film "Papertrail" and then acted in films such as "Men with Brooms" and "Cypher." She also was a supporting character in series' such as "A Nero Wolfe Mystery' and 'Blue Murder.' The actress was also in film through the 2000s, but her film appearances were much less than the TV roles she played. In 1998, she also appeared playing the lead role as "Colleen Blessed" in the Canadian drama series 'Power Play.' The series received critical and commercial acclaim and ran for 2 seasons and 26 episodes. The actress was nominated for the 'Gemini Award for her performance in the series. Jude Lyon Matchett became her first child in June of 2013. But she did not divulge the name of her son’s father. According to some sources her ex boyfriend is her father. Kari Matchett met T.W. Peacocke and Kari Matchett started dating in the late 1990s. The couple was married in 1998. The marriage, however, did not last long and the couple split in the year 2006.
