Charisma Carpenter
Charisma Carpenter (born July 23 1970) is an American actress from the United States. Cordelia Chase played the role as Cordelia in Buffy the Vampire's supernatural drama (1997-1999) and the spin-off show Angel (1999-04). She also played Kyra in Charmed (2004), Kendall Casablanca's character in Veronica Mars (2005-2006), Rebecca Sewell in The Lying Game (2012-2013), and Lacy in The Expendables film series (2010-2012). Carpenter was born in Las Vegas, Nevada,[disputed - discuss] the daughter of Christine the bird sanctuary worker, and Don Carpenter, a salesman. Carpenter has Spanish, French, and German origin (from her maternal grandfather). Carpenter attended Bishop Gorman High school in Las Vegas. She was also part of a song and dance troupe that was a part of the Las Vegas Valley. Carpenter moved with her family Rosario Beach in Baja California, Mexico, at age fifteen. She went to Bonita Vista High School and Chula Vista School of the Creative and Performing Arts. Carpenter went on a trip across Europe after graduating. She returned to San Diego and worked in the video store as an aerobics instructor, property management and as a clerk. In 1991, she was employed as a cheerleader for the San Diego Chargers football team. She relocated to Los Angeles in 1992. In 1991, Henry Hubbard Jr. was a tyrant who attacked her and two male acquaintances when they were swimming in San Diego. He was an ex- San Diego cop and serial rapist who tried to subdue the group with a gunpoint. Her friends as well as Hubbard were killed during the struggle. Hubbard fled the scene as her fellow comrades were able to escape. Hubbard was taken into custody, convicted, sentenced to 56-years in prison for a number of murders. Carpenter took Hubbard his flashlight from the police station to the beach. He left it on the beach. This flashlight became an important piece of evidence against Hubbard.
