Tracy Spiridakos

Tracy Spiridakos, a Canadian actress. She appeared in the Teletoon children's show Majority Rules as Becky Richards. From 2009 until 2010. She was on the screen from 2009 until 2010. She portrayed Annika Johnson in the A&E television drama Bates Motel. Since 2017, Spiridakos has appeared on the NBC police drama Chicago P.D. in the role of Detective Hailey Upton. Spiridakos was brought up in Winnipeg, Manitoba by George Spiridakos and Anastasia Spiridakos, Greek-born restaurant owners. Spiridakos is the daughter of two brothers. The family moved to her father's home town, Skala, Greece south of Sparta just a few years after she was born, and returned to Canada in 1992. She feels strongly linked to her Greek roots, and is fluent in Greek. Spiridakos began acting when she was in junior high school, and studied at the Actors Training Centre of Manitoba. In 2000, she was a graduate of Oak Park High School in Winnipeg. Spiridakos moved to Vancouver in 2007 to pursue acting and within a couple of weeks, she had her first television role which was a small part in Supernatural. She continued to do television work by playing walk-on characters in Bionic Woman's The L Word, Hellcats, Psych and other shows. Spiridakos appeared in the TV movie Goblin as well as the web-based series Mortal Kombat: Legacy. Spiridakos has also appeared on Being Human as the werewolf Brynn McCLean. In 2009 she was cast as her first lead role in the role of Becky Richards, a 15-year-old girl, on Canadian Teletoon's Majority Rules! Her feature film debut came in the year 2011 with Rise of the Planet of the Apes. In Kill for Me, she played alongside Katie Cassidy and Donal Logue. Spiridakos appeared as Sammi in the 2012 Nickelodeon original film, Rags. The role of Charlotte Matheson who is a survivor living in a post-apocalyptic future civilisation, was her role on the NBC TV show Revolution. She auditioned for the role when she attended her first pilot season in Los Angeles. Spiridakos filmed the pilot in Atlanta as well as the first season in Wilmington. For her performance in the pilot, she was nominated to the Saturn Award for Best Actress on television. She lost out to the actress from Fringe, Anna Torv. In the second season, production was moved to Austin Texas.
