Melanie Jayne Lynskey
Melanie Jayne Lynskey, born on the 16th
of May, 1977, is a New Zealand actress. Her name is well-known for her
humorous, soft-spoken, yet strong character. She works mostly in independent
films. Her achievements include a New Zealand Film Award, the Hollywood Film
Award and a Sundance Special Jury Award, as well as Gotham Award, Golden Nymph
Award Critics' Choice Award, as well as Screen Actors Guild Award nominations.
Lynskey was a young murderess who made her film debut in Peter Jackson's
Heavenly Creatures (1994). After her move to the United States, Lynskey built
her career as an supporting actor in various films, both big and small budget
including Ever After (1998), Detroit Rock City, But... (both 1999), Coyote Ugly
(2000) and Sweet Home Alabama (both 2002), Shattered glass (2003), Flags of Our

Manor (2021) have made her a prominent figure in the American independent film
industry. Outside of film, Lynskey achieved fame with her performance as Rose
on the CBS sitcom Two and a Half Men (2003-2015). She was the lead in
Togetherness from 2015-2016, and she was nominated by Critics Choice Television
Awards for Best Supporting Actress. Megan, and Beatrice in the Cartoon
Network's Over the Garden Wall (2014) was their voice. (2016-2018). She also
starred as the main character in Molly Strand, the first season Hulu's Castle
Rock (2018). Rosemary Thomson starred in Mrs. America on FX (2020).
