Markie Post
Markie Post grew-up in Walnut Creek. She
started her career as a film and TV producer, notably "The New Card
Sharks", (1978) as well as "Card Sharks" (1986). Post went on to
produce projects such as Double Dare (1976), and has been featured on many television
shows like E! True Hollywood Story (1996), Electra Woman (2001), and Dyna Girl
(2001). Her most notable TV performance was as "Christine Sullivan"
in Night Court (1984). She was featured in the show's 156 episodes from 1984 to
1992. Marylee (Armstrong) Post is her daughter. She was a poet as well as a
noted nuclear physical scientist Richard Freeman Post (November 14 1918 until
April 7 15th, 2015). Two daughters, Katie Ross (born June 26 1987), and Daisy
Ross (born on March 30 in 1990) was her second wedding to Michael A. Ross. She
was born in Palo Alto, California and raised in Walnut Creek. As cheerleader,
she attended Las Lomas High school located in Walnut Creek. Received her
Bachelor of Arts degree from Lewis & Clark College in Portland Oregon.
She was a trick roper in The Wildest West Show of the Stars (1986). She was
cremated and her cremated remains returned to her husband Michael A. Ross. She
was a lifetime Democrat. Markie Post died three months after her 71st Birthday
on August 7, 2021. She passed away 27 days following Charles Robinson, her
Night Court (1984) co-star who passed away on July 11, 2021. While the two
shows were completely separate, Night Court (1984) ended in 1992 , with her
character Christine Sullivan, leaving for Washington DC, and Hearts Afire
(1992) was released in the same year, with Post playing a new character Georgie
Lahti. She was also a part of Washington DC (and later moving to a small town).
