Paula Faris
Paula Faris, an American journalist,
previously worked as the TV reporter at ABC News. Her stints as co-anchor of
Good Morning America Weekend (2014-2018) and co-host of The View (2015-2018)
are very well-known. In the past, she anchors World News Now as well as America
This Morning. After graduating, she worked in several communications-related
jobs including an operations position at Mills/James Productions in Columbus,
Ohio. Due to the limited opportunities on television, she landed an opportunity
as a radio sales representative. She was hired as a WKEF/WRGT production
assistant and then became a reporter and anchor. She was the anchor for
weekends for WCPO TV in Cincinnati and the weekday anchor at WCPO TV in
Cincinnati from 2002 to 2005. Following the expiration of her contract and she
became a anchor and reporter for sports at the NBC affiliate WMAQ-TV in Chicago
from November 2005 to December 2011. In December 2011, she was employed by ABC
News which is the division for news of ABC. Her debut on the network was on
January 2, 2012 for ABC's World News Now, and America This Morning. She was
also on Good Morning America's fill in program, Good Morning America, from
January 2, 2012. Then she was made a New York-based correspondent on all ABC
News programs. She was host of America This Morning and World News Now's final
show on January 22 2013. On August 9, 2014, she made her debut as co-anchor on
Good Morning America Weekend, following the departure of Bianna Golodryga. She
moved to Yahoo! News. On the 25th of August, 2015 ABC announced that she would
be joining The View as a co-host for season 19. On August 3 that year it was
announced she was renewed on her contract until the end of its 20th season.
Season 21 also saw her renewed as co-host. She appeared mostly during episodes
on Fridays in the 21st season and the 22nd season.
