Sarah Chalke
Sarah Chalke was born in Ottawa, Ontario
Canada on 27 August 1976. Angie Chalke is her mother and Doug Chalke are her
father. She is the middle of two sisters, one older, Natasha Chalke, one
younger, Piper Chalke. Sarah's first acting role was in City Boy (1992), an
adaptation of a film for television. Following her first film, Sarah auditioned
in 1993 for the role of "Becky" from Roseanne (1988). The show was
looking for someone to replace Alicia Goranson, who left the show to attend
studies at college. Sarah graduated from high school in 1995, during the
filming of the 1994-1995 seasons of Roseanne (1988). In 1994, Sarah co-starred
in the film Ernest Goes to School (1994) alongside Jim Varney. In 1996, she
appeared in two movies which included Robin of Locksley (1996) as well as Stand
Against Fear (1996) where she played a cheerleadernamed "Krista
Wilson". Sarah was invited to appear in a TV series called Nothing Too
Good for a Cowboy (1998) the same year following Roseanne (1988). Based on Nothing
Too Good for a Cowboy (2000), Sarah also appeared in the show. Sarah took over
the role of Becky on Roseanne (1988) from Alicia Goranson in 1993. It was
stated that she would like to stop acting and attend college. [2001]
(1993-1997) Actress who played the older sister to Sara Gilbert on Roseanne
(1988), but is more youthful in real life. Participated in 1999 CCMA awards
ceremony and was awarded the award for the top single. (September 1999) At the
age of eight, she appeared in Vancouver theater productions. Is fluent in
French and German. She is a volunteer at a hospice , where patients with
terminal illness receive treatment and also works with the Audrey Hepburn
Children's Fund. Chalke loves cooking with her colleagues, particularly Thai
and sushi, as well as playing guitar. She also likes to ski (she is an
instructor) Kayaking, snowboarding, kayaking and reading. Her father is an
attorney and both of her parents manage an adoption agency for children. Two
years ago she went with her parents to China for the purpose of coordinating
the adoption of a number of orphans there.
