Natalie Dormer
(born 11 February 1982) is an English actress from England. Her honors include
an Empire Award, nominations for the Critics Choice Award as well as two Gemini
Awards, and two Screen Actors Guild Awards. Dormer was born in Reading,
Berkshire. She made her name in the role of Anne Boleyn, a character she played
on the Showtime series The Tudors (2008), which received acclaim from the
public. Her stage debut was in the musical Sweet Nothings (2010). In Madonna's W.E.,
she played the character of the Duchess, as well as York. (2011), and Private
Lorraine in Captain America the First Avenger (2011). The Young Vic praised her
performance in After Miss Julie (2012). Dormer was a target of international
attention and recognition for her portrayal of Margaery Tyrell on the HBO
series Game of Thrones (2012-2016) and Cressida in the two final parts of The
Hunger Games franchise (2014-2015) that are her highest-grossing films. She
also played Irene Adler/Moriarty for CBS's Elementary (2013-15), Sara Price
Jess Price (2016, 2017) and Onica in The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance
(2019). The show was well-received for her performance in Penny Dreadful City
of Angels (2020). Dormer was born on the 11th of February 1982 in Reading,
Berkshire (England), as the daughter of Gary Dormer & Claire Richards.
She is also the mother of Samantha Dormer and Mark Dormer.
