Rose McGowan

"Rose", born on September 5, 1973 is an American actress. Her film
debut was a short role in the comedy Encino Man (1992), McGowan achieved wider
recognition for her role in the dark comedy The Doom Generation (1995) which
earned her an Independent Spirit Award nomination for Best Debut Performance.
Her breakout role came in the film horror Scream in 1996. She then headlined
the films Jawbreaker (1999) as well as Devil in the Flesh (2000). McGowan's
character as Paige Matthews on the WB supernatural drama Charmed (2001-2006)
was her most famous role. She then appeared in Robert Rodriguez and Quentin
Tarantino's double-feature film Grindhouse (2007) for which she was nominated
to win the Saturn Award for Best Actress and the Scream Award for Best Scream
Queen. McGowan was in the action thriller series Chosen (2014) as well as
released her debut album, Planet 9, in 2018. It was followed by a revamp in
2020. In 2017 Time recognized McGowan as one of the Silence Breakers, the
magazine's Person of the Year for her stance on sexual harassment and assault
specifically with regard to the Harvey Weinstein sexual abuse cases and the Me
Too movement. Brave is her memoir. Citizen Rose was her documentary series.
Both were released in the year 2018.
