Heather Nauert

  

Heather Ann Nauert was born on January 27, 1970. She is an American broadcast journalist, as well as an official from the federal government. Heather served as Spokesperson of the United States Department of State under the Donald Trump administration. She is a senior fellow at the Hudson Institute, a conservative think organization. Prior to becoming a member of the Department of State, Nauert was a Fox News reporter and news presenter for Fox & Friends. From March 2018 to October 2018, Nauert worked as the acting Under Secretary for State for Public Diplomacy, Public Affairs and Public Diplomacy in the Trump administration. Nauert was appointed by Trump to the J. William Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board, and the White House's Commission on White House Fellowships in the year 2019. Nauert is a native of Rockford, Illinois. Her father, Peter Nauert, was an executive in the insurance business. She is the mother of Justin, Jonathan, & Joseph Nauert. Nauert was a student at Keith Country Day School in Rockford (Illinois), Pine Manor College in Chestnut Hills, Massachusetts and Arizona State University. After working as an intern at the Washington, DC country music video show and continued her education and earned her Bachelor's Degree in communication from Mount Vernon College for Women, now part of The George Washington University. Columbia University awarded her a master's degree in journalism.
