Miesha Tate
Miesha Theresa Tate is an American professional mixed martial artist. She was born on August 18, 1986. She is currently in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) which is where she is a past UFC Women's Bantamweight Champion. Tate was earlier a Strikeforce female bantamweight champion. Tate was vice president for ONE Championship. In July 18th 2022, 2022, Tate is 13th in the UFC women's bantamweight rankings. Tate was born to Michelle Tate in Tacoma Washington and raised by Robert Schmidt and Michelle. In her early years Tate would often hang out in the playground with boys from her local area. Tate was a Franklin Pierce High School senior and sought out a sport to take part in. It was then that she decided to go for amateur wrestling. In her first year through her graduation, she was a wrestler for the boys’ team. "I was pretty proficient in being kicked in the butt for the first couple of weeks. Tate recalls that she wasn't sure what was happening. "I felt like a fish that had gone out of water." Tate explained in 2011. When she was in her senior year in 2005, she was a participant in the girls' state championship and took home the title. Tate was at Central Washington University when a acquaintance suggested that she join the mixed martial arts club (MMA). "I was there and it was full of wrestlers.
